Why help a Children’s Hospice?
At NORTHWOOD, we believe that the purpose-built, 24 Bed Hospice will provide a much-needed addition to existing Clinical Services, and it will also help parents to have a chance to share special time with all of their children. We truly hope that as the walls of the hospice begin to rise, many will see the wonder of what we hope to achieve for the children & families who will really need it.
At present the funding received for the Northwood Children’s Hospice is from donors who really want to help us achieve our dreams and goals – and because this specialized care generally comes at a time when funds for medical aids have already been utilized or the children are government patients; we will strive to ensure that all the services at Northwood are at no cost to families.
Throughout the world, Hospice Services rely on donations and fundraising from individuals, companies, governments, and organizations – not only to raise walls and create a beautiful place of hope, but to help sustain its valuable services into the future. With the help of many, we hope that Northwood Children’s Hospice will provide a range of professional support including practical help, nursing care and bereavement support to children and their families 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
If you would like to help or donate in any way, please see the information found in the articles under the heading – Northwood Children’s Sustainability Fund.
